My GlassesUSA Nightmare: You'll NEVER Be Able to Reach a Human 😡
My recent experience with GlassesUSA was incredibly frustrating, and I feel compelled to share it as a warning to others. We ordered glasses for my son, but he couldn't see properly with them. A trip back to the doctor confirmed the pupil distance (PD) was wrong because the website just assumes a default value without prompting for the correct one. This led to my conclusion about the company: Please know you will never be able to reach a human at glassesusa and have a real phone conversation if you call them, so plan on frustration if your glasses are not correct. Email interactions are too slow, causing the process to drag on. It was this exact frustration that forced me to try and get a resolution from their customer service.
Customer: I'm calling about an order for my son. We received the glasses, but he can't see with them. His doctor confirmed you used the wrong pupil distance. Your website never even asked for it!
CS Rep: I am so sorry to hear about the issue with your son's glasses and the frustration this has caused. That is definitely not the experience we want for our customers. Could I please have your order number so I can look into this immediately?
Customer: I’ve tried emailing, but the responses are slow and unhelpful. My son needs his glasses to see, and now he has nothing because of your company's mistake. It’s impossible to get a real person on the phone.
CS Rep: I understand your frustration completely, and I sincerely apologize for the delay and the difficulty you've had reaching us. Let's get this fixed for you right now. We can remake the lenses with the correct PD at no charge and will email you a prepaid return label for the incorrect pair.
